Installation of Natural Stone Cladding on Outdoor Stairs
Hand-fitting and tiling of flagstone / irregular natural stone on curved exterior entrance stairs.
The Vision
This project demanded exceptional craftsmanship and patience in custom-cutting individual stone pieces. It involved cladding an outdoor concrete staircase with semi-circular steps using irregular flagstone.
Work began with thorough cleaning and priming of the concrete base. That was followed by hand-sorting, dry-fitting, and shaping each stone slab to achieve tight, uniform joints across the treads. Special care was taken to smoothly follow the curved stair edges, maintain correct drainage slopes for rainwater, and prepare conduits for exterior lighting.
